Polish-American watercolor artist, Dorothy Gal-Hahn, was born in sunny Cocoa Beach, Florida. Based now with her son and husband in Palm Beach, Florida, she enjoys creating whimsical and charming art full of color and personality. Inspired by Florida's diverse fauna and her international travels as a professional opera singer, Dorothy’s signature watercolor style balances spontaneity with intention, embracing the medium's ever fluid nature with detailed decorative elements.

Raised in a family of Polish immigrants, Dorothy grew up immersed in craftmanship as a way of life. From admiring her babcia’s hand-embroidered góralski vests to studying her dziadek's steady hands as a builder, she learned early on that creativity is a language spoken through heart, hand, and discipline. The arrival of her first child has brought new light, tenderness, and wonder into her life and art, further shaping her artistic voice.

Dorothy welcomes commissions and projects of all shapes and sizes. She loves collaborating with clients and interior designers to bring their artistic vision to life.

Dorothy holds degrees from The New School in New York City and Rice University. Her art can be found in galleries, shops, and private home collections from Palm Beach to New York City, Houston, Santa Barbara, Asheville, Denver, and Cocoa Beach.
